The KAT Young Family Foundation was founded in memory of Kimberly Ashley Tavarez (KAT), a devoted mother, daughter, and friend whose life was tragically cut short in a car accident on January 19th 2025—her 25th birthday. Her passing left behind her greatest gift, her son Ozias, and a deep responsibility to ensure his future is protected, secure, and filled with opportunities.

In the wake of this devastating loss, Ozias’s father took on the role of a single parent, determined to build a foundation that would not only honor Kimberly’s legacy but also create a lasting impact for Ozias and other families facing similar hardships. The KAT Young Family Foundation was established as a nonprofit dedicated to supporting single parents, children who have lost a parent, and families navigating the challenges of sudden loss and financial security.
